Calls for submissions

Call for submissions for a Special Issue of Dental and Medical Problems on "COVID-19 as a new global health challenge for dental and general practitioners"

We would like to draw your attention to a Special Issue of Dent Med Probl entitled "COVID-19 as a new global health challenge for dental and general practitioners". We are seeking for high-quality original papers and reviews to be published in our interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access journal covering all aspects of oral health and related fields of modern medicine.

Since December 2019, the COVID-19 pandemic has spread over the world with unprecedented consequences for the health of millions of people. SARS‑CoV‑2 has dramatically disrupted everyday life, global economy and health service. Providing most routine dental services needed to be suspended for a few months all over the world. This Special Issue aims to present research and reviews in the field of oral sciences regarding the medical and psychological implications of the COVID‑19 pandemic, including the diagnosis, symptomatology, treatment, and epidemiology of COVID-19 as well as the indirect consequences of the pandemic, e.g., its effect on health policy, academic teaching of medicine and dentistry, etc. All manuscripts related to the wide range of COVID-19 research are welcome.

We are waiting for relevant articles until December 31, 2021. Authors submitting their manuscripts for this Special Issue are asked to follow the regular Dent Med Probl online submission procedure.
